Kantala - Ethical Fashion Guide

Kantala is inspired by a 300-year-old Sri Lankan weaving technique. Their core material is the natural fibre harvested from the sustainable plant, hana (Agave cantala), which is woven into mats after dyeing with either natural dyes or OEKO-TEX 100 certified reactive dyes.

The handwoven natural fibre mat is coupled together with Fair Trade guaranteed handloom, Pinatex—a plant-based leather alternative and upcycled coconut shell fittings.

Their mission is to revive the waning tradition of weaving in Sri Lanka by creating a brand of chic yet sophisticated fashion accessories that empower both the customers and traditional artisans.
